Annual Human Rights Report 2015

This 2015 annual report is published by the Platform of Human Rights Organisations in Malta. It presents the findings of a survey done amongst the member organisations of the platform. The most notable findings of the report, related to integration are the following:

- a focus on hate speech being endured both by organisations and their beneficiaries, primarily those who work with migrants and refugees. The organisations also spoke out about the Government's silence on growing racial hatred and public expressions thereof.

- an acknowledgement of the Framework document and the work done by an inter-ministerial committee on the Strategy: Towards a National Migrant Integration Strategy 2015-2020. However, there was a greater sense that there was a lack of significant steps towards the implementation of integration policy.

- makes a reference to the UN working group on arbitrary detention follow-up visit which has addresses integration concerns such as working conditions of migrants etc.
