The Final Report of the KING Project - Knowledge for INtegration Governance - concerns integration policies and governance in Europe, as analyzed in the course of the project's multidisciplinary research that saw the participation of more than 40 researchers across Europe. On the basis of the research results, the Report provides a series of policy-recommendations and discusses strategies for the enhancement of integration measures at the national and local level, as a proposal for the implementation of the Common Basic Principles on Migrant Integration (CBPs).
The Final Report was presented at the Final International Conference of the KING Project held in Barcelona at the CaixaForum on 20 February 2015. The results of the KING project will also be presented at the 47th meeting of the National Contact Points on Integration in Burssels on 9 March 2015.
The KING project is a translation into facts of the idea that knowledge should be the foundation stone of policy-making. Co-funded by the European Commission – DG Home Affairs, it intends to gather knowledge on the present position in relation to migrant integration throughout the European Union, with a view to guiding policymaking and enhancing its outcomes. In order for policies to respond to what is a multifaceted phenomenon, a multidisciplinary approach is used for providing insightful and relevant recommendations.
The KING project is coordinated by the ISMU Foundation - Initiatives and Studies on Multiethnicity. Learn more about the project and download all the research papers and reports at www.king.ismu.org.
