
Berlin is the first German Federal State to introduce a distinct integration act. The Act to regulate Participation and Integration in Berlin came into force on December 29, 2010 and is geared at boosting options for people with a migration background to be employed in public services or enterprises owned by the City State of Berlin. Furthermore, religious diversity is to respected and taken into account to a further degree.
