Slovakia: Migrants don't have a stereotypical view of nationals (Unofficial translation)
The Centre for Research on Ethnicity and Culture conducted more than 50 interviews with migrants from different countries with the aim to explore how migrants perceive the Slovak society. Researchers found out that migrants' perception of the Slovak society and its members is not made of stereotypes. Respondents also identified several specifics of the social structures in Slovakia and relationships in the country, such as bureaucracy, closeness towards differences and diversity.
All gathered information will be used for intercultural guide In_different Slovakia which is expected to make integration into the Slovak society easier for both refugees and migrants. The project is funded by the Open Society Foundation NOS/OSF via their program Call for Humanity.
