Liège - Call For Papers: 3CI Phd Winter School on migration and urban change

Description:

The Center for Ethnic and Migration Studies (CEDEM) of the University of Liège is welcoming applications for the third edition of the IMISCOE 3CI PhD Winter School ‘Migration and Urban Change'. It will specifically focus on the cultural and political level. Lectures will also particularly address ethical issues in migration research. Fieldwork will furthermore be organised in the neighbourhoods of the city of Liège.

Applicants have to submit an abstract of max. 1000 words representing their current research project, a recommendation letter of their supervisor, a motivation letter and a curriculum vitae by 15 September 2017 at 5pm. Selected participants will be requested to submit a full research paper before the start of the conference.

The 3CI PhD Conference follows a three-year programme organised by a network made of the Centre for Migration and Intercultural Studies (CeMIS) of the University of Antwerp, the Centre for Ethnic and Migration Studies (CEDEM) of the University of Liège and the Erasmus University research group Citizenship, Migration & the City (CIMIC). It receives financial support from the International Migration, Integration and Social Cohesion (IMISCOE) Research Network.
