Brussels - 2nd meeting of European Migration Forum
The European Migration Forum – the civil society dialogue platform on migration, asylum and migrant integration – will meet for the second time on 6 and 7 April 2016 at the EESC's headquarters.
Following up on the subject discussed at the first meeting (the management of mixed flows of migrants across the Mediterranean), the Forum will now focus on the long-term approach to migration and integration.
The event will have an interactive character, with participatory workshops, discussion islands and other opportunities to contribute actively.
The participants include NGOs (selected by a public call for expressions of interest - deadline was 11 January 2016), practitioners from local and regional authorities (selected by the Committee of the Regions), representatives of the Member States and members of the EESC Permanent Group on Immigration and Integration.
Attendance at the Forum meetings is by invitation only but the plenary parts of the meeting will be streamed here.
