Supporting EU cities and regions by funding inclusive communities through the new MFF

European Committee of the Regions

The debate Supporting EU cities and regions by funding inclusive communities through the new Multi-Annual Financial Framework (MFF) will take place online on 28 September 2021, 15:30-16:30 CET. The will explore the funding available for EU cities and regions under the Asylum, Migration and Integration Fund (AMIF), the European Social Fund Plus (ESF+) and the European Regional Development Fund (ERDF).

Local authorities have put in place successful and innovative practices for integration, but still face challenges in accessing funding, data and knowledge. The EU action plan on integration and inclusion 2021-2027 brings further funding opportunities for integration initiatives. In particular, more funding opportunities are available for the EU countries' cross-cutting actions in integration under the 2021-2027 Multi-Annual Financial Framework (MFF). The event aims to facilitate access to and understanding of the available EU funds, as well as to share and exchange good practices of our members.

The partnership builds on well‑established cooperation between the two institutions under the 2019 Cities and Regions for Integration of Migrants network, and also answers to the needs outlined in the EU action plan on integration and inclusion 2021-2027.

The debate will take place in the framework of the 9th meeting of the CIVEX commission.
