Lisbon – First National Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination

The Commission for Equality and Against Racial Discrimination (CICDR) and the Observatory for Migration (OM) of the Portuguese High Commission for Migration are organising an event to celebrate the First National Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination. The event will take place on 21 March 2019 in Lisbon at the National Centre for Migrant Integration.

The celebration will be attended by Mariana Vieira da Silva, the Minister of the Presidency and Administrative Modernisation, and by Rosa Monteiro, the Secretary of State for Citizenship and Equality. In 2018, the Portuguese Parliament unanimously approved the creation of the National Day for the Elimination of Racial Discrimination.
