The LOGS Association – Group of Social Initiatives is accepting applications for its next training session on integration.
The training targets 20 NGO professionals and volunteers involved in work with refugees and migrants across the country, aiming to improve their competences through the transfer of good practices on local community mobilisation. The initiative is part of the AMIF-funded ASAP – Accessing services, sharing approaches and practices project that brings together 8 organisations from 6 EU countries (Italy, Greece, Austria, Croatia, Romania and Spain) to improve migrants’ access to basic services.
The training will cover the following key topics:
- Needs and challenges faced by refugees and migrants living in Romania
- Interculturality and multiculturalism
- Positive interactions: bridging local and refugee/migrant communities
- Positive storytelling and visibility
Key learning objectives for participants:
- To gain new intercultural knowledge and practical skills for working directly with refugees and migrants
- To improve their abilities to 1) interact positively with the local population and stakeholders and 2) enhance the integration prospects of refugees and migrants
- To enhance their knowledge and capacity in promoting refugee / migrant visibility and improving their interactions with local people
The training - including materials, meals and accommodation - is free of charge, however participants must cover the cost of their own transportation.
