Free movement of workers in Portugal: Obstacles and challenges brought by the COVID-19 pandemic

This seminar event will host a range of speakers debating topics relevant to the free movement of workers. These topics will include:

  • recent developments in EU legislation and caselaw in the field of free movement of workers;
  • teleworking;
  • COVID-19;
  • the recognition of academic and professional qualifications.

The speakers will include members of academia in the areas of law, geography and sociology, from Portugal as well as France and Italy.

Participation in the seminar is free of charge, but registration is required. The event will take place both in person, at the NOVA School of Law in Lisbon, and virtually via the Zoom platform. It will be held in both Portuguese and English, with simultaneous interpretation available.
