Alternate Minister Dritsas is a member of SYRIZA party.

H.E. Alternate Minister Thodoris Dritsas was born in Piraeus – Greece in 1947. He has a law degree from the University Of Athens.

From 2002 until 2007 he has served as a Municipal Counselor for the City of Piraeus - Greece

He's elected MP representing Piraeus in all consecutive elections from 2007 until today.

Ever since he was elected MP, he has served as Coordinator for Defence and Maritime Issues within the context of the group of MP's of SYRIZA.

He has also been nominated as parliamentary spokesperson for SYRIZA party.

Prime Minister Tsipras has appointed him as Alternate Minister of Economy, Infrastructure, Maritime Affairs and Tourism, responsible for Maritime Affairs on June 27, 2015.
