We are doing science for policy
The Joint Research Centre (JRC) is the European Commission's science and knowledge service which employs scientists to carry out research in order to provide independent scientific advice and support to EU policy.
offers to external users researchers from the Member states and 3rd countries experimental possibilities at the JRC-IRMM nuclear facilities: the neutron time-of-flight facility GELINA, the Van de Graaff accelerator, the radionuclide metrology laboratories and the underground laboratory HADES.
There is a permanent call for proposals with two deadlines per year (in June and November). Selection of the experiments is based on peer review by a Programme Advisory Committee with four external experts representing the relevant research communities and stakeholders.
