We are doing science for policy
The Joint Research Centre (JRC) is the European Commission's science and knowledge service which employs scientists to carry out research in order to provide independent scientific advice and support to EU policy.
EUCAR, CONCAWE and JRC (the Joint Research Centre of the European Commission) have updated their joint evaluation of the Well-to-Wheels energy use and greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions for a wide range of potential future fuel and powertrain options, first published in December 2003.
The specific objectives of the study remained the same:
Surface water protection is far below global targets in over half of the world’s countries.
This World Cancer Day, the JRC releases 17 new recommendations on breast cancer screening and diagnosis
Trading for good - Agricultural trade in the context of climate change adaptation and mitigation: synergies, obstacles and possible solutions.
The European Commission's Directorate-General for Agriculture & Rural Development (DG AGRI) and the Joint Research Centre (JRC) are supporting the International Agricultural Trade Research Consortium (IATRC) in the organisation of the 2019 IATRC Symposium.
