Luca works as a researcher at the JRC-Ispra, where he is member of the Big Data and Forecasting team.

Before Joining the JRC in June 2018, he worked as a data science consultant. In 2017, Luca obtained his PhD in Applied Economics at KU Leuven (Belgium). He holds a research master in Econometrics from the Université catholique de Louvain (Belgium), and a bachelor in Economics and Social Sciences from Bocconi University.

His main interests are time series analysis, large datasets and commodity markets.

 

Sebastiano Manzan is the lead scientist in the “Big Data and Forecasting Economic Developments” project of the Centre for Advanced Studies (CAS). He is an Associate Professor of Economics at Baruch College (City University of New York) and has published in econometric methods, economic forecasting, and macroeconomic modeling. Sebastiano holds a PhD in Economics from the University of Amsterdam (the Netherlands).

In this course, participants receive a general introduction to

  • methods of identification and global sensitivity analysis,
  • their DYNARE implementation (identification toolbox and global sensitivity analysis toolbox) and
  • their application to Dynamic Stochastic General Equilibrium (DSGE) macroeconomic models.

Registration

The course will be open to a maximum of 30 qualified and selected participants.

Michael Christl is an Economic Analyst of the Fiscal Policy Analysis team at the JRC-Seville. His research focuses on the areas of microsimulation and labour economics.
