According to the January issue of the JRC MARS Crop monitoring Bulletin, which was published today, the low-temperature acclimatisation of winter wheat remains delayed and weaker than usual in large regions of western, southern and central Europe because of the mild temperatures experienced so far.

The majority of chemicals on a combined list of more than 2700 potential marine contaminants are what's known as 'emerging pollutants': substances that have the potential to enter the environment and cause adverse ecological and human health effects, but are still largely unregulated.
