ENSEMBLE model evaluation platform

ENSEMBLE is a web-based platform in operation since 2000 and is the first of this kind in the world to allow remote collaboration with large communities of model developers and/or users of atmospheric model evaluations, intercomparisons and ensemble treatments. Several communities are involved, from air quality on several scales to atmospheric dispersion modelling of volcanic ash. Originally designed to evaluate atmospheric dispersion models of radioactive materials for emergency response, it was later expanded to a wider range of communities and applications.
