We are doing science for policy
The Joint Research Centre (JRC) is the European Commission's science and knowledge service which employs scientists to carry out research in order to provide independent scientific advice and support to EU policy.
This FishPopTrace Geo-Visualisation tool allows all interested parties to observe results and outcomes of the FP7 project FishPopTrace, put in a geographical context. Features include the FishPopTrace sampling effort. A GIS navigation tool exhibits the date of sampling plus geographical location and number of samples. In addition, environmental and oceanographic parameters can be visualised in parallel with sampling and experimental data. This approach should facilitate data interpretation and support applications for fisheries management.
