We are doing science for policy
The Joint Research Centre (JRC) is the European Commission's science and knowledge service which employs scientists to carry out research in order to provide independent scientific advice and support to EU policy.
The JRC enables and facilitates the dissemination and analysis of fisheries and aquaculture related data through a set of dedicated web-based public tools. It includes a dedicated data dissemination tool allowing exploration of scientific fishery data, economic indicators on the aquaculture, fish processing and fishing sectors, and electronic annexes to the reports from the Scientific, Technical and Economic Committee for Fisheries (STECF). The datasets are updated annually once the relevant STECF reports are published.
