We are doing science for policy
The Joint Research Centre (JRC) is the European Commission's science and knowledge service which employs scientists to carry out research in order to provide independent scientific advice and support to EU policy.
A TrainMiC® training of new Trainers event was organised from 23rd to 25th October at the IRMM with 17 candidate trainers participating.
Trainees came from Albania, Belgium, Brazil, Former Yugoslav Republic of Macedonia, Germany, Hungary, Ireland, Lithuania and Turkey. The breadth of technical expertise was considerable, ranging from measurements in the area of food, environmental, clinical and nuclear analysis.
New training teams will soon be set up in Albania, Brazil and Hungary.
