We are doing science for policy
The Joint Research Centre (JRC) is the European Commission's science and knowledge service which employs scientists to carry out research in order to provide independent scientific advice and support to EU policy.
A video about the 10th anniversary of the JRC's TrainMiC® initiative is now available on the JRC's You Tube channel. TrainMiC® is a life-long learning programme providing training on chemical measurements to laboratory staff, researchers, teachers, decision-makers and accreditation assessors.
Under the TrainMiC® programme, over 6500 people across Europe have received advanced training in chemical measurements and testing. The training is delivered in almost 20 countries by over 80 recognised trainers in 14 languages – and two more are in the pipeline (Russian and French). The TrainMiC® programme is set to grow further, with new national training teams announced for Belarus, Ireland, Lithuania and Belgium.
