We are doing science for policy
The Joint Research Centre (JRC) is the European Commission's science and knowledge service which employs scientists to carry out research in order to provide independent scientific advice and support to EU policy.
The training course will provide participants with the basis for the proper calibration of PCR methods used to quantify the GM content in food and feed samples.
The estimation of measurement uncertainty and establishment of traceability for results in GM quantification will also be covered. Measurement uncertainty and traceability are essential for the evaluation and comparison of measurement results. Reference materials are key tools for achieving traceability of measurements, proving accuracy of methods and demonstrating proficiency of laboratories. The use of certified reference materials for the estimation of measurement uncertainty (including alternatives) will be outlined. Further information is available in the event page. Deadline to register is 10 October, 2013
