EU Science Hub

Laboratories & facilities

The Joint Research Centre (JRC) has state-of-the-art equipped laboratories for studies on nanomaterials.

Its institutional work focuses on a science-based understanding of nanomaterial properties and their interactions with biological systems in order to support the safe and sustainable development of nanotechnology.

JRC EU Policy Lab

The EU Policy Lab is a physical space designed to foster creativity and engagement to develop interactions, processes and tools contributing to bring innovation in the European policy-making. Our work is articulated around four complementary dimensions: Foresight, Behavioural Insights, Design for Policy and Citizen Engagement.

Likewise other policy labs, the emphasis is on testing, experimenting and co-designing with our stakeholders by using tailored made approaches and relying a lot on visualisation.
