A LEDS Global Partnership Regional Workshop hosted by the AFOLU Working Group
The Energy, Water and Climate Change in the Mediterranean (EWACC) -Building Bridges between Europe, the Middle East and North Africa Conference, will be held in Nicosia, Cyprus, from 15-17 June 2015.
The EWACC-Building Bridges initiative, organised by the Cyprus Institute, aims to foster sustainable development and enable new partnerships in the Euro-Mediterranean region. The Conference will bring together a broad range of expertise, including distinguished scientists from various research fields, the private sector, policy makers, funding agencies and high-level officials.
The 8th European Congress on Regional Geoscientific Cartography and Information Systems (EUREGEO), co-organised by the JRC, will be held in Barcelona on 15-17 June 2015. It continues the dialogue started in 1994 by the European Regions of Bavaria, Catalonia and Emilia-Romagna, the Joint Research Centre (EC) and EuroGeoSurveys, and will serve as a platform for experts from regional and national geological surveys, universities, research institutes and the economy, building a bridge between scientific research and practical application.
The 2015 edition of Green Week, the biggest annual conference on European environment policy, will take place from 3 to 5 June at The Egg Conference Centre, Rue Bara, in Brussels. The theme will be nature and biodiversity.
This, the ninth edition of European Development Days, will be held in Brussels from 3-4 June 2015. 2015 is the European Year for Development (EYD2015) and European Development Days (EDD15) will be its flagship event. The focus for EDD15, organised by DG DEVCO, echoes the motto of the European Year for Development - ‘Our world, our dignity, our future’. This year’s programme will be structured around 4 themes and 12 topics.
