The Joint Research Centre (JRC) is the European Commission's science and knowledge service which employs scientists to carry out research in order to provide independent scientific advice and support to EU policy.
Giulia Santangelo is a research fellow at the European Commission's Joint Research Centre (JRC), in Ispra, Varese, Italy since 2013. She works for the Centre for Research on Impact Evaluation (CRIE) of the Competence Centre on Microeconomic Evaluation (CC-ME).
She obtained a Master of Science in Statistics (2009) and a Ph.D. in Economic Sciences (2013) at Sapienza University of Rome. In 2011 she was a visiting research fellow at Brown University, Rhode Island, USA.
Her research interests are in the areas of applied microeconometrics, labour economics and policy evaluation. Her work focuses on counterfactual and quantile methodologies for the analysis of labour policies and markets.
