We are doing science for policy
The Joint Research Centre (JRC) is the European Commission's science and knowledge service which employs scientists to carry out research in order to provide independent scientific advice and support to EU policy.
Brigitte Koffi is a Scientific and Technical Project Officer working in the Air and Climate Unit of the JRC's Energy, Transport and Climate Directorate.
She holds a PhD in Physics and Chemistry of the Atmosphere from the University of Toulouse. She first joined the European Commission in 1993, as a JRC post-doctoral fellow, and then as a scientific expert in support of EU air quality and climate policies. She then gained international experience on many aspects of air pollution and climate, in several laboratories in France (Météo France, Toulouse; LSCE, Gif sur Yvette) and Switzerland (University of Fribourg, Fribourg; WSL, Lausanne).
Since January 2013, her work at the JRC has been focused on the modelling of Hemispheric Transport of Air Pollution.
