Since March 2017 he is Researcher at the Competence Centre on Microeconomic Evaluation (CC-ME) at the Joint Research Center in Ispra (DG-JRC). He is currently working on the Centre for Research on Impact Evaluation (CRIE) which provides scientific expertise and methodological support for Counterfactual Impact Evaluation (CIE) to the Directorate General Employment, Social Affairs and Inclusion (DG EMPL) and Member States for the impact evaluations of interventions funded by instruments managed by DG EMPL, namely the European Social Fund
He has a Bachelor in Mathematics with specialization in Probability, Statistics and Operations Research from the University of Ioannina, and a Master and PhD in Economics from Athens University of Economics and Business, Greece.
He was Assistant Professor of Microeconomics at the University of Ioannina, Greece. He was also Head Researcher of the Hellenic Food and Beverages Industry Research Department and Research Associate in the Department of Macroeconomic Analysis and Policy at the Foundation of Economics and Industrial Research (FEIR/IOBE) in Greece.
His research interests include labour economics, counterfactual methods and computational economics.
