Aris Tsois is a scientific officer working in the field of security and anti-fraud for the containerized cargo supply chain. He developed the ConTraffic CSM data warehouse and proposed the development of the container-trip data warehouse. In 2014 he was assigned project leader for the ConTraffic group of projects, including the FP7 projects CONTAIN and CORE, on which he works with a team of 12 persons.
He received his B.Sc. degree and PhD from the School of Electrical and Computer Engineering, National Technical University of Athens. His research interests include big data analytics, big data management, visual analytics, conceptual data modelling, database query optimization, data warehousing, data analysis, artificial intelligence as well as supply chain security and risk analysis. He is a chartered engineer who worked for more than 10 years for academic and research institutions as well as for the private sector before joining JRC in 2005.
