The Joint Research Centre (JRC) is the European Commission's science and knowledge service which employs scientists to carry out research in order to provide independent scientific advice and support to EU policy.
InnoGrid2020+ has become the not-to-be-missed EU event on innovation in electricity networks. The European Network of Transmission System Operators for Electricity (ENTSO-E) and the European Distribution System Operators for Smart Grids (EDSO), who co-organise the conference, will focus the 2016 edition on “Digital Energy”.

In the frame of its Science Parks Initiative and back-to-back with a high-level meeting on "Transatlantic Scientific Bridge on Eco-Industries" held on 26/09/2013, the Joint Research Centre (JRC) of the European Commission's is organising a round table on the theme "EU and US: From Smart Grids to Smart Cities – the role of Science Parks".
