It will bring together representative of EU regional authorities and scientists to exchange views on evidence-informed decision-making process at regional level.

Energy is indeed the most popular priority selected in smart specialisation strategies across Europe, with over 2/3 of all EU regions choosing at least one energy-related priority. From the perspective of Cohesion Policy, effective uptake of funds related to innovation in energy will be a crucial element of this pillar, as well as the actual implementation of the smart specialisation strategies.
