On the 23rd of November the JRC Karlsruhe will celebrate the 60th anniversary of the EURATOM treaty. The JRC will mark this milestone with a celebration dedicated to the Treaty’s achievements, particularly to  the role and benefits of EURATOM supporting research, safety and safeguarding the peaceful use of nuclear energy in Europe. The opening session will include a  welcoming of the Director  General and representatives of the Baden-Württemberg region and the city of Karlsruhe.

Researchers, academics, professionals and decision makers are invited to this interdisciplinary forum to discuss and present quantitative methods for integrated F&NS measurement.

The fourth Neutron Resonance Analysis School will be hosted at the EC-JRC in Geel, Belgium from November 6th to 10th 2017.

The training (06-08 Nov) will offer the lessons learnt from the JRC assessments on more than 100 well-known composite indicators and scoreboards.

The training is open to all (researchers, policy analysts) with an interest in scoreboards, composite indicators and multi-criteria analysis. No registration fees.

As the European Commission’s science and knowledge service, the Joint Research Centre (JRC) regularly provides scientific and technical advice for the development and implementation of EU policy on climate action.

In this capacity, two JRC experts will advise the EU's delegation to COP23, the 23rd Conference of the Parties to the United Nations Framework convention on Climate Change (UNFCCC).

JRC will also organise side events on different thematic areas, which will be held at the EU Pavilion.
