    The workshop should serve as an exchange of know how between policymakers, energy regulators, academics, energy companies, system modellers, consultants and other relevant stakeholders of this region.

The transition to low carbon economies entails diverse societal issues such as environment, risks, and sustainability. In all these fields there is an increasing demand for effective communication among policy-makers, industry, citizens and researchers in order to build up a solid and well supported policies.

    The inauguration of the European Interoperability Centre for Electric Vehicles and Smart Grids will be held in conjunction with the International Symposium "Towards a Transatlantic E-Mobility Market"on 28th – 29th October 2015 in Ispra, Italy.

    The two-day Symposium will bring together key stakeholders to discuss aspects related to interoperability - Vehicles and Grids - and concrete actions to pave the way towards an e-mobility market.

The aim is to provide potentially interested organisations (Regulators, Competent Authorities, etc.) and persons the methods needed to implement correctly the Regulation 994/2010.

    In 1955 the Reactor Centrum Nederland (RCN, which changed its name to Energieonderzoek Centrum Nederland, ECN, in 1976) was established. Many things have changed since 1955. What impact has the research have had through the years on our society? What aspects of the research are visible in your daily life and what can you expect in the future in Petten?
