The workshop will serve as a platform for exchanging information on advanced analytical methods and on data interpretation techniques.
The summer school is provided by a consortium of nine European universities, with JRC as the mentoring organisation, who together deliver a Master’s Degree Programme offering education in measurement science. An important activity of the Measurement Science in Chemistry (MSC) Euromaster is the summer school – an intensive course focusing on quality assurance in measurement science in chemistry. This year 41 students from 12 different countries will participate (Belgium, Estonia, Finland, France, Malawi, Morocco, Poland, Portugal, Slovenia, Sri Lanka, Ukraine, Tunisia).
A three-day workshop entitled "Metrology in Chemistry - Implementing the technical requirements of the ISO/IEC 17025". The workshop will be held at the National Institute for Research and Physical - Chemical analysis (INRAP) – the Tunisian designated institute for chemical metrology - Ariana, Tunisia for 30 participants.
The aim of the workshop is to illustrate the importance of ICT in training and education, with special emphasis on tools developed by the JRC for the nuclear sector.

The School on the Physics and Chemistry of the Actinides will be organised as a tutorial session to the JdA conference.
The European Commission's Joint Research Centre (JRC) organise a training course on 21-22 November, 2013 on "GMO quantification: Proper Calibration and Estimation of Measurement Uncertainty".
