On 26 October 2017 the Commission launched a Competence Centre on Modelling. Hosted by the JRC, it will promote a responsible, coherent and transparent use of modelling to support the evidence base for EU policies.

The annual assessment of global greenhouse gas (GHG) emissions by the JRC and the Netherlands Environmental Assessment Agency (PBL) confirms that CO2 emissions have stalled for the third year in a row.

The JRC has published an interactive European map with information on breast cancer screening, diagnosis, treatment and follow-up care for 35 countries. The map provides a Europe-wide snapshot to help the EU and Member States secure equal access to high quality care across the continent.
