    The European Commission is organising a selection procedure to fill one administrator post (temporary contract) as technical manager in the JRC's Decommissioning Programme, Nuclear Decommissioning and Facilities Management Unit in Ispra (Italy).

An open call for the expression of interest to become member of the ECVAM Scientific Advisory Committee (ESAC) has been published on the ECVAM website. Deadline for submission is 30 September 2009.

    Today, the JRC launched a number of dedicated competitions through the European Personnel Selection Office for the recruitment of researchers on permanent positions. Over 270 successful candidates will be retained on reserve lists to meet the JRC's staffing needs in the coming years. Recruitment possibilities exist at the JRC’s research institutes, located in Italy (Ispra), Spain (Seville), the Netherlands (Petten), Germany (Karlsruhe) and Belgium (Geel). Candidates can apply until 4 November.

    The JRC has launched a call for 40 seconded national experts and grantholders as part of its enlargement and integration actions. The job opportunities are available for experts from research organisations, national enforcement laboratories and scientists from the following countries: Albania, Croatia, Iceland, Montenegro, Switzerland, Bosnia and Herzegovina, FYR of Macedonia, Israel, Serbia and Turkey.

    The JRC has published six vacant positions - 5 Grantholder and 1 Seconded National Expert position - for researchers and scientific experts from the following countries: Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Faroe Islands, Iceland, Israel, FYR of Macedonia, Moldova, Montenegro, Serbia, Switzerland and Turkey. Applications will be accepted from experts from research organisations, public administration bodies, national enforcement laboratories and scientists.
