The Joint Research Centre (JRC) is the European Commission's science and knowledge service which employs scientists to carry out research in order to provide independent scientific advice and support to EU policy.
The 10th annual SET Plan conference conjoined with the 11th Central European Energy Conference (CEEC XI), will be held under the auspices of the Estonian's EU Council Presidency, but organised by Slovakia. Thus, it will take place on 29 November – 01 December 2017 in Bratislava, as last year.
The training (06-08 Nov) will offer the lessons learnt from the JRC assessments on more than 100 well-known composite indicators and scoreboards.
The training is open to all (researchers, policy analysts) with an interest in scoreboards, composite indicators and multi-criteria analysis. No registration fees.
This school is intended to provide an overview to the measurement and analysis techniques associated with neutron induced reactions alongside the nuclear theory governing these reactions.
The JRC, in collaboration with the Directorate-General for Agriculture and Rural Development (DG AGRI) and the Irish Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine (DAFM), is pleased to announce the 23rd MARS Conference that will take place in Gormanston, Ireland, on 28 and 29 November 2017, from 9 am to 5 pm.

The 2nd International Workshop on the European Atlas of Natural Radiation (IWEANR 2017) will be held in the town of Verbania, Italy, from Monday 6 November at 14:00 to Thursday 9 November at 16:00. The main aim of the workshop is to present the status and discuss progress of the European Atlas of Natural Radiation.

What is the stability region of a DSGE model? Which structural parameters mainly drive the unique saddle-path solution of DSGE models?
On the 23rd of November the JRC Karlsruhe will celebrate the 60th anniversary of the EURATOM treaty. The JRC will mark this milestone with a celebration dedicated to the Treaty’s achievements, particularly to the role and benefits of EURATOM supporting research, safety and safeguarding the peaceful use of nuclear energy in Europe. The opening session will include a welcoming of the Director General and representatives of the Baden-Württemberg region and the city of Karlsruhe.
The 2018 edition of the Macro-Regional Innovation Week will take place in Ispra (IT) from 24 to 26 January 2018, with the focus on Science and Technology knowledge for policy support and on collaboration with the JRC.
The Macro-Regional Innovation Week will promote the opening of the JRC's research infrastructures and laboratories and showcase JRC's technical and scientific competences, in particular in the field of environment, energy, transport and biotechnologies.
To define the state of the art for quantitative measurement of food and nutrition security (F&NS) the Joint Research Centre (JRC) and the International Food Policy Research Institute (IFPRI) organise an international conference.
Researchers, academics, professionals and decision makers are invited to this interdisciplinary forum to discuss and present quantitative methods for integrated F&NS measurement.
