On occasion of its tenth anniversary, CONCORDi 2017 aims to present and discuss both theoretical and empirical contributions relevant to corporate R&D, innovation and technological advancement.

The Conference will be structured in plenary sessions (with interventions by invited speakers and round-table panellists), parallel sessions (with presenters selected following the call for papers) and posters sessions.

There will be no conference registration fee.

As the Commission's Vice-President, Frans Timmermans, noted recently, "a new crisis has come along … the crisis of evidence and facts … we cannot simply answer a demand for a politics of emotions with a strengthened politics of facts". This crisis is a challenge for the whole of society, not only scientists, experts, the media and policymakers, but also for politicians.

This year the International GNSS Summer School will be hosted by the Norwegian Space Centre and held at Longyearbyen, Svalbard – Spitsbergen, Norway, on 4-15 September 2017.

The The summer school is held in cooperation with the European Space Agency (ESA), the Joint Research Centre (JRC) of the European Commission and four internationally renewed universities: the Bundeswehr Universität München,  ISAE Supaero, Stanford University and Technical University (TU) Graz.

The summer school will take place in Institute for Marine and Coastal Environment (IAMC-CNR) in Capo Granitola, Sicily (Italy)

The Joint Research Centre in Geel is running a successful open access programme, entitled 'European Facilities for Nuclear Reaction and Decay Data Measurements' (EUFRAT).


Within EUFRAT JRC-Geel offers open access to its nuclear facilities for external researchers from the Member States and beyond.
