We are doing science for policy
The Joint Research Centre (JRC) is the European Commission's science and knowledge service which employs scientists to carry out research in order to provide independent scientific advice and support to EU policy.
The Future of Government 2030+ project brings citizens to the centre of attention, by opening the dialogue about the preferred models of government in the future.
You can watch the event on 6 march, 09:00 - 12:30.
The aim of the #futurgov project is to tackle emerging societal challenges, analyse trends in our rapidly changing digital society and launch an EU-wide debate on the possible "future role of government" and "governance models" in this context looking up to 2030 and beyond.
The wellbeing of people and society, as a key target of governmental decisions and activities, beside creating and maintaining sound conditions for businesses and environment, is emphasized.
The project addresses the question in a novel way by combining design and foresight approaches with citizen engagement methods, with special focus given to citizens’ insights.
