    Hosted by the IEEE Geoscience and Remote Sensing Society, the International Geoscience and Remote Sensing Symposium 2015 (IGARSS 2015) will be held from 26-31 July 2015 at the Convention Centre in Milan, Italy.

    The conference, organised by the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) Geoscience and Remote Sensing Society and the IGARSS Organising Committee, is the world's premier symposium on the subject of remote sensing. The main theme highlights the role of remote sensing for assessing, monitoring, and managing risks related to natural disasters.

    The Society for Conservation Biology (SCB), with Agropolis International and the French Foundation for Research on Biodiversity (FRB), will host the 27th International Congress for Conservation Biology (ICCB) and the 4th European Congress for Conservation Biology (ECCB) in Montpelier, France, from 2-6 August 2015.

    The joint meeting brings together the international community of conservation professionals to address conservation challenges and present new findings, initiatives, methods, tools and opportunities in conservation science and practice.

    The JRC and the Italian LCA Network are organising a three-day scientific conference on Life Cycle Assessment (LCA) and food, to discuss the role of LCA and present the latest research on the EXPO 2015 topics.

    It will be held on 6-7 October 2015 at Stresa on the Lake Maggiore, in Italy; on 8 October 2015, a special session will be held in the EU Pavilion at the EXPO 2015 site in Milan.

    At this one-day Conference in the EU Pavillion of the EXPO site, the JRC will give an overview of its activities in agricultural and agro-environmental monitoring, yield forecasting and early warning, deforestation and land use/land cover monitoring. While presentations will have a solid scientific content, they will be presented in such a way as to be understood by non-specialist EXPO visitors.
