    JRC-IPTS is active in developing data analytics applications for evidence-based policy advice, with a focus on the ICT industry in Europe. Work performed in this field includes tools and methods used to identify EU poles of excellence in ICTs and still ongoing trials with knowledge discovery, pattern recognition, semantic analysis and visualisation techniques. It is addressing diverse aspects such as innovation networks, technology co-evolution or the profiling of ICT techno-economic segments.
