We are doing science for policy
The Joint Research Centre (JRC) is the European Commission's science and knowledge service which employs scientists to carry out research in order to provide independent scientific advice and support to EU policy.
This workshop will showcase the main developments of various non-EU countries in the Americas, Asia, Oceania and Africa in the implementation and/or adaptation of Smart Specialisation approach.
The workshop brings together the Smart Specialisation worldwide community to learn from experience and explore possible cooperation between the participating institutions. It will gather recognised academics, experts from international organisations, policy-makers and practitioners of Smart Specialisation, as well as European Commission representatives and representatives from the European Union External Action Service (EEAS).
It will take place in Seville (Spain), on 25 September 2018, ahead of the 2018 edition of the Smarter Conference.
