We are doing science for policy
The Joint Research Centre (JRC) is the European Commission's science and knowledge service which employs scientists to carry out research in order to provide independent scientific advice and support to EU policy.
This workshop addresses physics-based models at different length and time scales and associated experimental research to understand material properties.
The Workshop will focus on the role of plasticity and creep, which are very relevant for component and material design and reliability and safety of metallic components in different industrial sectors. Results from related JRC activities will be included.
