We are doing science for policy
The Joint Research Centre (JRC) is the European Commission's science and knowledge service which employs scientists to carry out research in order to provide independent scientific advice and support to EU policy.
The workshop targets the LPIS (Land Parcel Identification Systems) managers and technical staff operating for Member State administrations responsible for the implementation of the Common Agriculture Policy. It also concerns technical staff dealing with the management of GAEC and of the future greening components of the CAP.
The workshop will deal with the main changes introduced by the CAP reform on eligibility, greening and GAEC and their consequences on the LPIS. Field cases provided by Member States will be used as a basis to discuss Ecological Focus Area (EFA) implementation and Land Parcel Identification System (LPIS) upkeep issues as well as to have an in-depth discussion on guidelines documents in particular on the LPIS and on the EFA-layer.
