This JRC workshop dealt with the use of microsimulation modelling for fiscal policy analysis. It gathered policy makers and leading economists from the US and Europe who provided examples of how microsimulation models are used for fiscal policy analysis in their institutions. The debate touched upon the influence of these modelling activities in the policy debate in the US and the EU and the use (or misuse) of these models to address specific policy questions.

Watch below Alan Auerbach, Kevin Hasset and André Decoster, among others, on key fiscal policy questions, microsimulation modelling and more.
