We are doing science for policy
The Joint Research Centre (JRC) is the European Commission's science and knowledge service which employs scientists to carry out research in order to provide independent scientific advice and support to EU policy.
Aims of the workshop
1. Identify current activities conducted by research institutions on the construction of datasets for greenhouse gas (GHG) mitigation technologies and their state of development.
2. Establish synergies and working mechanisms among the different institutions working on mitigation technologies.
3. Identify the current gaps and limitations of existing datasets (and models), and propose approaches to overcome these constraints.
4. Discuss with international experts and modellers approaches to construct a scientifically sound database on the potential of GHG mitigation technologies.
