We are doing science for policy
The Joint Research Centre (JRC) is the European Commission's science and knowledge service which employs scientists to carry out research in order to provide independent scientific advice and support to EU policy.
The training course focuses on three elements (3 modules): 1) the Risk Assessment, 2) the plans, and 3) the modelling tools needed to simulate different types of gas supply crises.
Special attention will be paid along the three modules to the regional dimension and correlated risks. This edition of the course will benefit from the lessons learnt during the first implementation of the Risk Assessments and plans by the Member States (completed by December 2012) and from the regional Risk Assessments under development in the second implementation of the Regulation (Baltic States and South East Region).
