We are doing science for policy
The Joint Research Centre (JRC) is the European Commission's science and knowledge service which employs scientists to carry out research in order to provide independent scientific advice and support to EU policy.
Following up on the mandate of the "European Science and Technology Network on Unconventional Hydrocarbon Extraction" and as announced during its Launch event in July 2014, the two Working Groups
had been established and met on February 23 & 24, 2015 in Brussels.
70 participants inscribed in the Working Group 1 and 55 in Working Group 2.
The scope of work and deliverables were discussed and several sub-Task Forces proposed.
The next Working Group Meetings are planned for 10 June and 5 November 2015 in Brussels.
