The JRC is organising a seminar in which Professor Salvador Ortigueira, School of Business of the University of Miami, will present his recent research entitled "Anti-poverty Income Transfer in the U.S.: A Framework for the Evaluation of Policy Reforms", a joint work with Nawid Siassi, Konstanz University.

Prof. Ortigueira is an expert on the areas of Macroeconomics, Labour Economics, Optimal Fiscal Policy, and Dynamic General Equilibrium Models, having held positions at Cornell University, the European University Institute in Florence, and the Universidad Carlos III de Madrid. Currently, he is an Associate Professor at the School of Business of the University of Miami. He has also been associate editor of journals such as the Journal of Economic Dynamics and Control and the European Economic Review.
