The Joint Research Centre (JRC) is the European Commission's science and knowledge service which employs scientists to carry out research in order to provide independent scientific advice and support to EU policy.
In the framework of their ongoing cooperation, the Joint Research Centre (JRC) and the Accademia Nazionale dei Lincei are co-organising the XXth Edoardo Amaldi Conference - International Cooperation for Enhancing Nuclear Safety, Security, Safeguards and Non-Proliferation - 60 Years IAEA Atoms for Peace and Development and Euratom Treaty.
The XXth Edoardo Amaldi Conference will provide an important forum for experts and scientists to discuss different approaches and promote progress towards enhanced nuclear safety, security, safeguards and non-proliferation.
The conference will also have a session dedicated to the 60th anniversary of the IAEA and of the Euratom Treaty with Federica Mogherini, High Representative of the Union for Foreign Affairs and Security Policy – Vice-President of the European Commission and Yukiya Amano, Director-General of the International Atomic Energy Agency delivering keynote lectures.
