We are doing science for policy
The Joint Research Centre (JRC) is the European Commission's science and knowledge service which employs scientists to carry out research in order to provide independent scientific advice and support to EU policy.
The 2014 edition of Green Week, the biggest annual conference on European environment policy, will take place from 3 to 5 June at The Egg Conference Centre, Rue Bara, in Brussels.
The theme will be Circular Economy, Resource Efficiency & Waste
Green Week offers a unique opportunity for debate and exchanges of experience and best practice. Over the past decade, the conference has established itself as an unmissable event for anyone involved with protecting the environment. It is open to the public and participation is free of charge. Green Week also has an area for exhibitors, and satellite events take place all around Europe.
The JRC will host a stand at the conference, where it will present its activities in the area of circular economy, including the sustainable use of natural land and water resources, sustainable production techniques, waste treatment and recycling, the European Product Bureau, and resource efficiency of products.
