The Google Earth Engine (GEE) User Summit 2016 will bring together researchers and educators in GIS and remote sensing technologies who have been using Google Earth Engine, or are interested in learning how to use Google Earth Engine for planetary-scale cloud-based geospatial analysis.

IES scientist Christelle Vancutsem will participate in the summit, which includes:

(i) three days of training on Google Earth Engine (GEE) to learn new tools for mapping and monitoring forest deforestation and degradation, and profile the scripts developed in Roadless with the support of the GEE team and

(ii) Plenary presentations of the new applications from  other people working with the same tools and/or on similar topics
